Hamburg State Opera and Opera stabile are easily reached using public transport – your entrance ticket also entitles you to travel on local public transport. The State Opera is only a few minutes walk from S-bahn stations Dammtorbahnhof (S 11, S 21, S 31) and Jungfernstieg (S1, S2, S3) as well as from the underground stations at "Stephansplatz" and "Gänsemarkt”. Bus numbers 4, 5, 34, 36 and 109 stop directly in front of the State Opera and at Gänsemarkt.
If arriving by car, you can park in the “Oper” multi-storey car park (for a charge). Inner-city parking spaces are normally difficult to find, but there are several multi-storey car parks.
